Chidi Amuta (Chairman) has spent more than 20 years in news and management journalism. He has held senior editorial positions such as Foundation Member, Editorial Board (The Guardian), Chairman, Editorial Board and Editorial Advisor (The Daily Times Group) and until 1999, Chief Executive (The Post Express).

During his career, he has interviewed a number of key world leaders, including the former British Prime Minister; Margaret Thatcher, Francoise Mitterand of France, Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Ibrahim Laurent Kabila of the DRC as well as Nigerian leaders Sani Abacha and Olusegun Obasanjo.

Chidi has written articles and columns for key newspapers at home and abroad and is the author of three academic and historical books, including The Theory of African Literature. He currently writes a column for This Day Newspapers.

Prior to being a journalist, Chidi taught Literature and Communications Strategies at the University of Ife (now Obafemi  Awolowo) and at Port Harcourt University. He holds a first class honours degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy from University of Ife.

Mr. Amuta is the Chairman and COO of Wilson & Weiszmann Associates ltd, a media and public affairs consulting company. He has consulted on public policy and perception strategy for African and Middle Eastern governments. Widely travelled and well-honoured for his achievements, Chidi Amuta is a Fellow of the influential Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy in the United States.


 

Ibiai Ani is a Human Resources Management and Training Consultant with over 21 years of HR experience. 

She studied Law at the University of Lagos and Interior Design at London’s Inchbald School of Design. After working in the Rivers State and Federal Ministries of Justice, Ibiai joined Nigeria’s Shell Petroleum Development Company Ltd (SPDC), where she held an array of HR positions and gained extensive experience in areas such as recruitment, training needs analysis, manpower planning and development and change facilitation. 

After 12 years with Shell she moved to Citibank Nigeria as Country Head of HR, covering Nigeria and overseeing the Ghanaian office. After nearly 5 years, Ibiai left to establish The Daisy Management Centre Ltd, a private Residential Management and Training Centre which also offers HR and training solutions designed to develop management, leadership and professional skills.


 

Tonye Cole is the co-Founder and CEO of Sahara Energy Resource Ltd, a Nigerian energy sector company. He is a merit honours graduate of Architecture from Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil and an alumnus of University of Lagos.

Tonye began his career with the Brazilian architectural firm GrupoQuartro SA where he worked on the ‘greenfields’ project which involved the building of Palmas, the capital city of the newly created state of Tocantins. The State Ministry of Justice HQ and the City Hall are among his projects. On his return to Nigeria in 1993, Tonye was appointed Director of Operations at EMSA S.A, a leading Brazilian civil engineering company which won the World Bank-financed water projects contract for Lagos State Water Corporation.
